A Story From The Owner
I used to work for a very unscrupulous moving company. They would promise customers a specific delivery date but always delay the delivery without warning. This caused a lot of stress for customers trying to move into their new homes on time. I would always feel terrible when I had to tell them that we wouldn’t be able to make it on time, but there was nothing I could do about it.
Eventually, I decided to leave that company and start my own long-distance moving company – Denver Moving Company. I knew I could do better than the other companies out there, and I wanted to provide a moving service that people could rely on.
Since starting my own company, we’ve never missed a delivery date. We’ve even delivered early on several occasions! I’m proud to say that we’ve built a reputation for being the most reliable long-distance moving company out there.

Beware The Broker
I remember one client who told us they were going with a cheaper mover. They didn’t have much money, so they had to cut corners where they could. I asked the client if there was anything we could do to compete for your business, but she was confident in the “good feelings” she had with this other company.
Lowball Bids And “Good Feelings”
I can’t begin to regail you on how many clients have fallen for the honey trap of a seemingly low price from a fly-by-night mover. It reaches a juncture where they don’t want to hear any form of argument from you or any amount of reasoning you have earned from spending years in the moving business. That’s just killing their buzz, and then they hang up.
In the end, these clients always call us back. Not because we are the best at marketing or because we offer the lowest price (we don’t), but because they know that our integrity and commitment to customer service is unmatched in this industry.
Broker Bait And Switch
This client called us two days before her move date as if foretold. She was beside herself with worry and regret. The mover she had chosen had turned out to be a broker from out of state and (as brokers often do) given her a low estimate.
Brokers are essentially intermediaries between client and mover. They are (in theory) supposed to source the best value moving company for you. Sadly that is seldom the case, and brokers often have a habit of lowballing both the client and the mover. In this case, the broker had proceeded to cancel her move once she rightly refused to pay a premium to keep the movers happy. If I were to speculate, I would say that the broker was simply out to line their own pockets.
Last Minute Moving Services
She told us that she ought to have listened to us from the beginning, and now her whole move was in jeopardy. We calmed her back down and reassured her that we will endevour do everything we could to get her moved as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Fortunately, we were able to work with her on such short notice and helped her move without any further issues. This is but one tiny instance of the great lengths our long-distance movers will go to to help our clients.

Full Packing Service
The client had moving from a six-bedroom house. She had five children and was working full-time until the day before her move, so she had no time to pack.
In-Home Walkthrough
When our long-distance coordinator arrived at the client’s home, they did a free walkthrough to understand better what needed to be moved. We outlined to the client that we could pack her entire house for her, which would save her time and energy. The client was grateful and decided to go ahead with the full packing service.
Full-Service Packing
Our team of professional packers arrived the next day and got to work. They packed the entire house in just two days, which was impressive considering the amount of stuff that needed to be packed. The client was thrilled with the service and said she would recommend us to her friends and family.
The move went smoothly, and the client was happy with her new home. She said she was glad she chose us to help her with the move and that she would use our services again in the future.
From Renting A Truck To Hiring Professional Movers
John and his family were moving to San Francisco from Kansas City. They hired a moving truck and planned to pack and transport their things personally.
As they were passing through Denver, the moving truck broke down. The family was stranded on the side of the road for hours. They were so far behind schedule that they had to spend the night in a hotel.
When In Denver…
John was in a bind. His moving truck had broken down, and he was far behind schedule. He decided to look for professional movers while in Denver and gave us a call to see if we could load his furniture from his broken-down truck into ours. We were happy to help and got him back on track.

Is Every Review Accurate?
This client was angry and bitter throughout the entire move. They bickered about everything, from the weather to how we were packing their boxes. In the end, they wrote a scathing review on Yelp, claiming that our company was terrible and that they would never use us again.
Thankfully, though, the move had no problems of any kind. The client was extremely unhappy and looking for a way to lash out. We’re sorry that they had such a bad experience, but fortunately, it was an isolated incident.
Most of our long-distance moves go smoothly, and our clients are happy with the results. We’re proud of our work, and we’ll continue to strive to provide the best possible service to our customers.
A Foul Temper Is No Excuse For Disrespect
Clients are not uncommon to be in a bad mood when engaging with our movers. Perhaps they are going through some serious personal issues which may or may not have a part to play in their relocation. Or maybe they are just naturally contrarian.

Something To Complain About
The movers had been working for hours, and the client had been moaning non-stop about every little nuance. They were taking too long to move the couch, they were packing boxes the “wrong” way, and they were making too much noise. The client was a cranky old woman who seemed to find something to complain about no matter what the movers did.
Courtesy Costs Nothing
Finally, the movers had had enough. “Ma’am,” one of them said, “we’ve been working hard all day, and we’re not going to take anymore of your nonsense. If you don’t like how we’re doing things, you can go hire someone else.” With that, they walked out of the house, leaving the woman fuming.

Off To College
I was working as a long-distance mover when we got a call from a gentleman who needed help relocating his daughter to California. She would be studying at Stanford University, and he wanted her to be as close to the campus as possible. We worked with him to devise a plan to make her relocation as smooth as possible.
First Time Mover
The dad had been very close with his daughter ever since her mother died. This would be her first time moving away from home alone, so he worried about how she would handle it. We helped them devise a plan to make the move smooth for her. We packed up her things, loaded them into the truck, and drove them to her new apartment near the Stanford campus.
Peace Of Mind
The dad was so grateful that we were able to help his daughter with her move. He said that it was a considerable weight off of his mind knowing that she would be settled in and taken care of. We were happy to help and wish her all the best in her studies.
International Moves (Kind Of)
After many years of living in the same house, my clients finally decided to move to The Bahamas. They had talked about it for a while but finally decided and contacted us. We were more than happy to help them!
Even though we don’t typically move clients internationally, we were happy to help our clients transport their belongings to the shipping port.
We brought everything to the Port of Miami and loaded it into a shipping container. It was a lot of work, but seeing our clients so happy was worth it. They were finally able to start their new life in The Bahamas!
Always Have A Backup Plan
When dealing with a long-distance move, it’s important to have a backup plan in place in case something goes wrong. This was the case for one of our customers, who we’ll call Sarah. Sarah had hired a moving company to help her move from New York to California.
Everything was going rather smoothly until the day of the move when Sarah realized that her movers had double-booked their time. This meant that Sarah’s belongings would be stuck in storage for an extra week while she waited for the movers to finish their other job.
Thankfully, Sarah had also hired us as her long-distance moving company. We were luckily able to step in and help her move her belongings from storage to her new home in California. While it wasn’t the ideal situation, Sarah was happy to have a backup plan in place that helped her get her belongings to her new home safe and sound.

An Unexpected Resident

We Are Not Alone
This time, our movers encountered a rather unusual situation. They were helping a family move from one side of the country to the other, and while packing up the last few boxes, they noticed something strange. It appeared that someone had been living in the home for quite some time without leaving any clues about their identity!
Nobody Here But Us Racoons
After researching, they discovered that the house was a getaway home for a family of raccoons. The creatures had been using the house as a shelter from the elements during winter and had been living in the foundations of the house where it was still dry. They had no idea that anyone else had been using their house!
Needless to say, our movers had plenty of laughs over this discovery – and even snapped a picture of the “trash pandas” before packing everything up and moving on to their next job. If you’re ever faced with an unexpected surprise while moving, remember – you’re not alone!
